About Heirloom Design Studio

It Started With a Problem.

After more than a decade as a professional photographer, I heard the same thing again and again:

"We still haven't made our wedding album."

"I have thousands of photos sitting on a hard drive."

"I've been meaning to do something with them for years."

While my photography clients were receiving finished albums and artwork as part of their experience, I realized many families were stuck after the photographs were delivered. Beautiful wedding galleries remained untouched. Family portraits sat forgotten on hard drives. Meaningful memories became another item on an ever-growing to-do list.

The photographs weren't the problem. The challenge was finding the time, direction, and expertise needed to turn them into something lasting.

Drawing on a process I spent years refining for my photography clients, I created Heirloom Design Studio to bring that same guided experience to families everywhere — combining expert guidance, professional design tools, and access to exclusive photographer-only products and labs to transform overwhelming collections of images into beautifully crafted albums and artwork designed to be enjoyed for years to come.

What this means for you

You don't need another project on your to-do list.

You don't need to spend hours narrowing down images, learning album software, or researching printing companies.

You simply need someone to help you finish what you already started.

Through my From Files to Finished™ process, I help transform overwhelming photo collections into beautifully crafted albums and artwork you'll actually enjoy.

Simply put, I help you finally get it done.

Meet the Founder

I'm Chelsea Hickey, a photographer and designer, and for more than a decade I've helped families move from planning a photography session to enjoying finished albums and artwork in their homes.

That realization led me to create Heirloom Design Studio around a simple belief: the job isn't finished when the photographs are delivered. The photographs are only part of the story — the goal has always been helping people enjoy them.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and two boys. Whether we're traveling, chasing our next adventure, or searching for a memorable meal, creating meaningful experiences together is one of my greatest joys.

More than digital

The photographs we treasure most are rarely the ones we look at once. They're the ones we revisit years later — the wedding album your children discover someday, the family photographs hanging in your home, the album that gets passed around at holidays.

That's why I believe photographs deserve to exist somewhere beyond a screen.
